ইসরায়েলের আদালত মঙ্গলবার প্যালেস্টাইন কবি দারীণ তাতুরকে পাঁচ মাসের কারাদণ্ড দিয়েছে। ''রেসিস্ট মাই পিপল, রেসিস্ট দেম'' শীর্ষক একটি কবিতার জন্য তাঁকে এ দণ্ড দেয়া হয়।

৩৬ বছর বয়সী দারীণ হলেন ইসরায়েলে বসবাসকারী ১৬ লাখ প্যালেস্টাইনীরই একজন। ২০১৫ সালে তিনি এ কবিতাটি লিখেছিলেন ফেসবুকে। শৈল্পিক বিবেচনায় ইতোমধ্যে আরব বিশ্বে এটি জনপ্রিয় একটি কবিতা হিসেবে চিহ্নিত হয়ে গেছে। কিন্তু ইসরায়েল অভিযোগ করেছে, দারীণের এই কবিতা সহিংসতাকে উস্কে দিয়েছে। এটা ‘সন্ত্রাস’।

এরপর প্রথমে তাকে আটক করে তিন মাস কারাগারে রাখা হয়। তারপর গত তিন বছর গৃহবন্দি করে রাখা হয়েছিল। গৃহবন্দিত্বের দিনগুলোতে তাঁর জন্য কম্পিউটার ব্যবহারে নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারি ছিল। এখন নতুন করে পাঁচ মাস কারাভোগের দন্ড দেয়া হলো।
চূড়ান্ত রায়ের পূর্বমুহূর্তে দারীণ এক ভয়েস মেসেজে বলেছেন, ‘লেখা অব্যাহত থাকবে। এমন কো্নো আইন মেনে নেয়া যায় না, যা বলে দেবে আমি লেখায় কী শব্দ ব্যবহার করবো, কী করবো না। নিশ্চয়ই আমিই প্রথম বন্দি নই, শেষ বন্দিও নই!’
